Accordion-fold text and image remix book | 2007
A project for a class I taught at the Pre-College Design Program at Carnegie Mellon University School of Design. My goal was for students to explore the formal and conceptual connections between image and text by using photocopies of found images and text to make an accordion-fold book. I introduced the project with this presentation and I made this “critiquing basics” guide when I realised that high-school students have little experience with critiques; it explains the purpose of gathering feedback and provides definitions of some basic terms. Some examples of student work are shown below.
